It'll likely mean a bit of a wait as they are pretty busy, but contacting customer support is the best way to proceed. This is because the age requirement to both create a google account and for it to be available on Pokemon Go is 13+, so if your son put in his age as below 13, he wouldn't be able to sign in with google.

I imagine every class has some amount of AoE's, at the very least all tanks and dps should; can't speak for healers. I know in the early levels, Archer gets an AoE that you use to first target or lock onto enemies (up to 5) and then use again to fire arrows down on those locked onto.
